HORIZON DISCOVERY - MIRROR

The Horizon Discovery mirror is inspired by Portuguese maritime exploration during the 15th and 16th centuries. Inspired by the divine vision of a new land seen from distant waters, this mirror was designed with the organic contours of the coastline in mind. With a wooden frame, it is encased in solid brass, rigorously hand-hammered and meticulously soldered as if it were a real jewel. Using ancient techniques of embossing, repoussé and chasing, the craftsmen have created reliefs of "Portuguese caravels" on its round brass form. The production of Horizon Discovery also combines the polishing of the brass with the ageing process, giving a unique character to this limited edition Horizon.
